The other week, I put a blog post about the new iPad 2 that I received for my birthday. About a week later, my dad and I went to the Apple Store for a seminar. At the end of the seminar, he ended up getting me a Smart Cover for my iPad 2.

The Apple Smart Cover is basically a 3 in 1. It’s a cover for your iPad, a typing stand for when your doing homework, and also a FaceTime stand. However, it’s also a screen cleaner. The fiber material on the inside cleans your screen when the cover is face down on the iPad screen. When you open the cover to use your iPad, you’re surprised with a shiny clean screen.

The iPad Smart Cover also puts your iPad to sleep, and also wakes it up. When you close your Smart Cover, you hear a “Click!” sound, which means the screen is locked. When you slightly open the cover to peek at the screen, the Smart Cover automatically opens the screen for you. The iPad Smart Cover only works on the iPad 2 and the newer iPad. The iPad Smart Cover will keep your iPad thin and safe at the same time.

Solo (HD) Beats by Dr. Dre

I recently received an Amazon Gift Card for my 13th birthday. For the longest time, I couldn’t decide on what to get with Amazon Gift Card. First I wanted a chin, then a shirt, then some True Religon Jeans, and then a SnapBack. Then I realized those would all be a waste of money. Then I decided I wanted to get the Solo (HD) Beats by Dr.Dre. They’re flexible, light, and affordable. Most websites have it priced for $180, however, Amazon has them for $169. Many of my friends and people I see around tell me that these headphones would be worth your money. They have excellent durability so they can survive crashes, bumps, falls, and even trips. I really hope my parents would let me get these headphones. If I do get them, I’ll do a review and post it to my blog.

iPad 2

The first thing that surprised me was the fact that my family threw me a surprise birthday party. When I saw the gifts, all I expected to see was clothes and some toys. I got mostly clothes and 1 toy. I got an Adidas sweater, 3 polo shirts, a pack of tech decks, and about $60 in cash. When I thought all was over, my aunt pulled out a rectangular shaped box from underneath the table. The box said Walmart on it so I expected it to be someq type of toy. I cut open the packaging and the words “iPad” on the side of the box slapped me in the face. I felt as if I were about to cry. I whipped out the box and everyone in the room gasped then started cheering and signing “Happy Birthday”. That was a moment that I will never forget.

Being a teenager is the first step of becoming a young adult. The day you turn 12, is the day you start preparing for becoming 13. Up until this year, I’ve gotten toys for all of my birthdays, some clothing, but mostly toys. However, this years birthday list mostly contains items of clothing and electronics. It feels good to be breaking out of childhood and becoming a new person, but the older you get, the more you crave those childhood memories.

It also got me wondering when on New Years Eve, it was about 56 degrees. Throughout history, it’s either started snowing, or already snowing on New Years Eve. So for it to be “hot” like that, something had to be seriously wrong. However, “winter” isn’t over yet. Mother Nature still has a couple of weeks to give us snow…

Ugg Butte

Every winter of my life I’ve been wearing regular plain old snowboots. They kept me warm and all, but one problem I had with all of my former boots is that they weren’t stylish. All of my boots were UGLY. Fortunately for me, I found some very stylish boots at the beginning of 2011, which were called the Ugg Butte (B-yoot). I fell in love with these boots instantly and had a wanted to get them. Unfortunately, when I spotted them it was the end of winter, so it didn’t even make sense for me to get those boots. I’ve waited an entire year for these and it’s finally time, now I’m just waiting for it to snow so I can have them purchased for me. I’ve tried them on in a store and I have to say that they are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. It features abrasion material by the toe and by the heel. It also has sheepskin material inside the boot which also comes up at the top of the boot to keep your feet warm and cozy. The toe also has channels on the Event water-proof material which allows the water to flow off it. This boot also has a flexible Vibram sole made out of rubber. The boot is also flexible which means you can wear it year-round. The Ugg Butte is for men but if women are interested in buying this, try the Ugg Adirondack II, which is the women’s version of this boot.

Jordan Fly 23

About a week ago my aunt came by my house and dropped off some presents for my sister and I. To my surprise, she got me some new sneakers. They’re called Jordan Fly 23. They’re a pretty good built sneaker with a soft insole and cushioned padding around the ankle for support. The sole itself is about 1inch thick including the sky blue clear rubber sole at the bottom.

The sneaker has a comfortable mesh tongue which allows your toes and ankles to breath which also limits the chances of your sneaker smelling. The sneaker also features the Nike Air bubbles in the back of the shoe for a soft landing. The blue sole underneath the sneakerwhich features an elephant crackle pattern is especially designed for traction and pivoting on the court.
